PARIS (Reuters) – Canadian teenager Summer McIntosh outclassed everyone on Monday to win gold in the women’s 400-metre medley at the Paris Olympics, securing her second medal in the event.

World record holder McIntosh touched the wall in four minutes, 27.71 seconds, edging out American silver medalist Katie Grimes and her U.S. teammate Emma Weyant, who won bronze.

McIntosh's triumph comes two days after she took silver behind Australian powerhouse Ariarne Titmus in the 400-meter freestyle on the opening Saturday of the meet.

After dominating the grueling four-stroke event, McIntosh will aim for more medals in the 200-meter medley and 200-meter butterfly.
