According to the latest data from the General Union of Owners of Trading and Jewellery Shops, gold prices on the local market remained stable for the second consecutive day on Monday.

Today the selling price of one gram of 21-karat gold remained at 48.4 JD, while the buying price remained stable at 46.5 JD.

Furthermore, the Rashadi coin is priced at around 344 JD, while the English coin is sold at around 393 JD.

On the global front, gold prices rallied on Monday.

The increase is attributed to expectations of a potential US interest rate cut in September and rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

Attention is now focused on the next Federal Reserve meeting scheduled for later this week, which is expected to influence monetary policy.

Spot gold prices rose 0.5% to $2,397.65 an ounce by 0025 GMT, while U.S. gold futures rose 0.7% to $2,396.70.
